I’m so excited to share something truly special with you—a new flash fiction series titled Purrs & Pages. This series is near and dear to my heart because it’s inspired by none other than my mischievous, adventurous, and endlessly entertaining black cat, Oscar, affectionately known as “Oscar Underpaw.”
If you’ve ever had a cat, you’ll know they come with big personalities packed into tiny, fluffy bodies. Oscar is no exception. He earned his nickname because he’s always zipping around underfoot, sneaking into places he shouldn’t, and turning even the most mundane moments into unexpected adventures. Watching him, it’s not hard to imagine him as the hero of his own story—solving mysteries, crossing magical realms, and uncovering hidden secrets.
And that’s exactly what this series is all about.
What is Purrs & Pages?
At its heart, Purrs & Pages is a collection of short, captivating stories following Oscar Underpaw as he embarks on extraordinary adventures. Whether he’s navigating enchanted alleyways, unraveling magical conspiracies, or solving mysteries among the stars, Oscar’s tales promise to entertain and whisk you away to wondrous places.

Why Did I Create This Series?
Oscar is more than just a cat—he’s a constant source of inspiration. His playful antics, curious nature, and knack for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary made me wonder: what if his adventures extended beyond the walls of our home? What if his curiosity unlocked magical realms, solved intergalactic puzzles, or uncovered ancient secrets?
Purrs & Pages is my way of capturing that spirit and inviting readers to see the world through the curious eyes of a clever feline. It’s also a tribute to the joy and wonder cats bring into our lives—and the boundless possibilities of imagination.
What to Expect
Each installment of Purrs & Pages will feature Oscar Underpaw in a new adventure, ranging from lighthearted capers to thrilling, high-stakes quests.
